By using Strangr ("the service") you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old. Strangr connects you with random people, and conversations are unmoderated in real time — it is not a service for minors. By using it you confirm you are 18 or older.

Strangr pairs you anonymously with another person for a private text conversation, with optional photos, voice notes, video messages, voice calls, and saved rooms. Random-chat messages are deleted when either person leaves; saved rooms persist until either member deletes them. The service is provided free of charge and may change, pause, or stop at any time.

An anonymous account is created for you automatically. If you register a username and password, you are responsible for keeping the password safe — there is no email recovery, so a lost password can mean losing access to your saved rooms. You may not use someone else's account or share yours.

You agree not to use Strangr to:

• harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse anyone;
• send sexual content to someone who has not clearly welcomed it, or any sexual content involving minors — which we report to the authorities;
• share content that is illegal, hateful, or promotes violence;
• spam, advertise, or send repeated unwanted messages;
• impersonate others, or attempt to unmask, dox, or track other users;
• attempt to bypass blocks, disrupt the service, probe its security, or access data that isn't yours;
• use bots, scrapers, or automated tools on the service.

Never share personal details — yours or anyone else's — with a stranger.

Whatever you send remains yours. You give us only the limited permission needed to operate the service — storing and delivering your messages to the person you're talking to, for the lifetimes described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you send, and you promise you have the right to send it.

You can report anyone who makes you uncomfortable; reporting also blocks them from ever being matched with you again. We may review reported conversations, and may restrict, suspend, or permanently remove anyone who violates these terms, without notice. We may also remove content or accounts where required by law.

Strangr is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. You talk to real, unvetted strangers: we do not verify anyone's identity, age claims, or intentions, and we are not responsible for what other users say or send. Use your judgment and the report tool.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Strangr is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including lost data (such as deleted conversations, which is by design), interactions with other users, or service interruptions. The service's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is zero.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top reflects the latest version, and continuing to use Strangr after a change means you accept the new terms.
